New Career Path

I have been completely happy with my current job but since getting my degree, I have been on the look out for anything that I would be interested in that paid more than what I make currently.  I happened to come across a job opening for Jordan School District.  I thought it would be fun to apply and just see if anything came of it.  After a few days, I got a call to go and interview.  During the interview they let me know that this would be a new position that would back up their current HR secretary as well as work with them to start up their paperless system this year.  I am sad to be leaving MACU and will be even more sad to leave all the people I work with but I am excited to see what is to come with this new opportunity!

Birthday Festivities Continued

We had such a fun time celebrating my birthday with some of our friends.  We went to Red Robin with the Booths and the Whitecars.  Afterwards, we came back to our house and we played Call of Duty with the Whitecars.  It was so much fun and I am slowly getting better and better at playing.  On Sunday, we had Allen's family over to have cake and ice cream.  Celeste and her kiddos came over and had dinner with us before everyone came over.  After dinner we did cake and ice cream and watched some football.  It was a great birthday weekend!

Britt's 24!

Yesterday was my 24th birthday!  I can't believe it!!! I had a great day celebrating with my family.  I had to work which was not the best way to celebrate but we did have Dunford donuts so that made it bearable.  After work I rushed home to pick up Allen so we could meet up with my family to go to dinner.  Right when I walked into the kitchen, Allen popped out with two dozen pink and red roses and a present!  I was totally not expecting that since we had ordered me a new camera for my birthday earlier that day.  The roses are beautiful and the present was full of chocolate oranges that he bought clear back around Christmas because he knows how much I love them!  We then went to my parents house and we all headed over to Goodwood BBQ.  I love their pulled pork sandwiches!  Ky got me a kindle cover and my parents got me some jeans, shirts and new black boots that I can wear to work!  It was a great birthday!  Today, Allen had school and I spent the morning cleaning up our house because Allen had invited the Whitecar's and Booth's over tonight for dinner and games.  It was supposed to be a surprise birthday get together but I found out.  When Allen got home we went to the store to buy a cake mix for tonight and some treats to share. So now we are going to play Call of Duty and enjoy our clean house, new clothes (just me on this one), muddy dogs (the joys of no grass in the backyard) and extra Dunford donuts until we meet up at Red Robin with our friends.  I think this has been one of those birthdays that I will definitely enjoy :)

Finally she decided to sit and watch it.

She hardly ever barks but Diesel barks at everything.  Diesel was barking at the door but hiding under the table and Sades decided to join in.  Her way of barking is a little woof that sounds like a cough instead of a bark haha.

We let Diesel outside to run around in the snow.  She was not happy that she was left behind.  Maybe she will learn not to run in the road one day.

Crazy week

This week had been full of family get togethers. Matthew had his mission farewell on Sunday and he did great! We spent Monday and Tuesday night at the Bauer's so Allen could have some time with Matthew before he leaves. Wednesday was an emotional day. Allen took work off so he could go with his family to drop Matthew off at the MTC. I had to work so Allen just text me all morning so I felt included. We are so proud of Matthew and know he will be an awesome missionary!  Allen has had a rough few days missing him and reminiscing on his mission but we are all glad he made this decision.

PS I'm going to be 24 tomorrow!!!! Crazy!!
